Sad news for Xiaomi Mi A1 users Android 8.0 Oreo update temporarily suspended


Xiaomi Mi A1 android 8.0 oreo cookie update has been quickly suspended by the corporate, when many users complained of performance problems on the device when putting in the newest software upgrade.

To recall, Android 8.0 oreo cookie was released for Mi A1 smartphone on December 31. Following the rollout, users took to Twitter to complain regarding many bugs and problems, together with quality of camera and dialer app, battery drain once Bluetooth is turned on, furthermore as issues with Recents app button.

Xiaomi India acknowledged the difficulty in its community forum and explained that MyJio app with all app permissions granted is inflicting the dialer app getting hanged. The delay in making calls is as a result of telephone permission being granted to MyJio app. Xiaomi Mi A1 users will either uninstall MyJio app from their smartphone to disable telephone permission for the app. this may be done by progressing to Settings>Apps & notifications>App info>MyJio >Permissions>Disable telephone permission.

“We simply dropped an android oreo cookie update for Mi A1 some days back. we tend to stumbled upon a difficulty wherever some users were having issue with dialer app getting hanged or there’s an uncommon delay in making the call. Upon researching we tend to found that MyJio application is inflicting ANR once a call is being made or received and therefore the issue. the issue is seen once MyJio app is being present with all app permissions granted,” reads Xiaomi’s community post.
